A Win at Last for Youngstown Phantoms

The Youngstown Phantoms have ended their unfortunate run of four straight defeats.

The much longed-for break came at home against the Madison Capitols. The game finished 2-1.

Youngstown’s Ryan Botterill scored the game-winning goal.

The Phantoms took the lead early in the first period, with a goal from Nathan Lewis . Charlie Cerrato assisted.

The Capitols’ Austin Burnevik tied the game in the first period, assisted by Gavin Uhlenkamp and James Hong .

Ryan Botterill took the lead halfway through the third period, assisted by Nathan Lewis and Charlie Cerrato.

Next up: The Phantoms host the Green Bay Gamblers on Thursday at 5:05 p.m. CST at Covelli Centre. The Capitols will face Team USA at home on Friday at 7:05 p.m. CST at Bob Suter’s Capitol Ice Arena.
