Ann Arbor, MI – The Ann Arbor Ice Cube (AAIC) and Biggby Coffee Hockey Club are pleased to announce Mike Hamilton as the Tier 1 Director for Biggby Coffee AAA effective February 1st, 2024. On the boys side, Coach Hamilton will bring experience, leadership, and winning philosophies to the organization, which plays out of both Ann Arbor and East Lansing. On the girls side, Coach Hamilton will work closely with Girls Director, Deb Bolino, to build off momentum after relocating the girls program to Ann Arbor and establishing dedicated locker rooms for the 16U and 19U Girls’ teams.
Coach Hamilton is a Detroit area native and grew up playing for Little Caesars and eventually at the NCAA Division-I level for Minnesota State-Mankato. Most recently, he served as Head Coach for five years with the Muskegon Lumberjacks in the USHL where he was named USHL Coach of the Year for the 2020-21 season. He currently holds the title of Assistant Coach for the USA National Team Development Program and will be finishing up commitments with the NTDP through the Spring while transitioning into the Tier 1 Director at Biggby Coffee AAA Hockey.

The strength and resources that Black Bear Sports Group provides along with their ladder of development from AAA hockey to junior hockey provides the foundation for not only player development, but easily offers players a chance to be seen and called-up by our junior hockey affiliates to play at the next level.”
